Learning Activity 4 (Group Work): Making a Learning Environment "Smart" (Deadline: March, 31)
The main purpose of learning activity 3 is to review an existing Learning Environment.
This learning activity is done in groups, the same you have formed in the previous modules.
Task 1:
Identify an existing Learning Environment that addresses a topic you want to work on (algebra, programming education, language learning, etc.).
You can use one of the systems that you have identified in :Module 1- Learning Activity 2 - Task 1, 2, 3.
Task 2:
Write a review, in the form of a short report (5 to 10 pages), that should include the following details:
1. A summary of the Learning Environment under review, and why you think it's a good starting point for your system.
2. A critique of the learning environment in terms of its "Smartness", based on the publication of J Michael Spector: Smart Learning Environments: Concepts and Issues.
3. An enhancement of the LE using a VR or an AR game/system.
Please note that we do not expect you to fully design your VR/AR intervention, we however expect you to describe your idea in a clear fashion and explain how your VR/AR addition contributes to the learning of the user.
Consider also explaining why your VR/AR intervention is more suitable to the learner/learning than a mere 3D intervention.
Please use an activity diagram to show us the various activities in your VR/AR solution (a use-case or a class diagrams are not required at this stage).
4. Explain how blockchain technology can improve the LE under review (You don't have to provide an architecture for your blockchain-based system, but merely a textual description).
5. In your conclusion, explain why the LE you reviewed is now a "Smart" Learning Environment.
6. Submit your PDF report here.
